I forgot to put the song of the day in my tuesday post. Here it is:
God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, He's so good to me. He understands, He understands, He understands, He's so good to me.
This is so appropriate for me, especially today. He has seen me through again. He never fails me, He is my shield, bucker, high and strong tower, fortress, my hiding place, my Savior, Lord and King. Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus my blessed redeemer, He's my rock...
If you have a song in your heart, sing it out or share it with me here on my blog.

God is so Good
Today I received a message on fb from a very dear friend to let me know she is praying for me. I really appreciate her and her friendship. She also gave me some scriptures of encouragement and I want to share them, so they will be the scripture reading for today.
Today's Scripture Reading: Psalms 86: 2-7
"Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord; for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I llift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive: and plenteous inmercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou will answer me."
These are very encouraging words from the Word of God and I hope and pray that all who read them will be encouraged like I am.

Marvelous Monday
What a great start to another week that the Lord has blessed me with. How great is our God. It is pleasantly warm although it may rain this afternoon, but that is ok because God is in control and he knows what is best. I made some special pancakes for breakfast. The recipe will be in my recipe section on the left of the page.
Scripture Reading: Psalms 92:7 - 9
"When the wicked spring as the grass, and whem all the workers of iniquity do flourish: it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore. For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered."
This reminds me of a song:
VICKTORY IN JESUS
I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me; I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning, Then I repented of my sins and won the victory,
O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever! He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood, He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him-He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood."
Have a blessed day!

The Saturday Post
Hi There,
Just wanted to say that my blog has a new look and I love it. My wonderful son redesigned it for me and has done a great job. He is very artistic. Thank you Jimmy.
Scripture Reading: Psalms 92: 4 - 6
"For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this."
This reminds me a a song. "O Lord my God, when I in awesome wondering, consider all the worlds thy hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee, How Great Thou art, How great thou art, Then sings my soul my Saviour God to thee, How great Thou art, How great Thou art."
I hope the scripture and the song has inspired you. God's Word and the old time hymns always inspire me.

Fridays and Friends
Today has been a pretty good day. I had Bible study this morning, we learned about the Pearl of a Happy Home. Excellent! This afternoon a friend came over, had lunch and talked about Pre-School. It was alot of fun. We laughed and got excited about different ideas that can be used in preschool. It was good.
Scripture Reading: Psalms 92:1-3
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness every night. Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upou the harp with a solemn sound."
Here is a hymn I remember singing many, many years ago. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below, Praise HIm above ye heavenly hosts, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Sing the oldtime hymns they are so very spiritually uplifting.
