Guess What it is Doing Outside?

Good Morning Everyone,

Guess what it is doing outside?  Yep, it is snowing.beautiful white snow.  I love winter.  No I do not like driving in the snow, but snow makes such a beautiful picture.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful, warm Sunday.  This is short because  I need to get ready to go to church.  Sundays can be pretty busy for us, especially the 4th Sunday of the month.  We go to church in the morning and my husband preaches at the local boarding home in the afternoon.

God bless you all and have a great day.

Love and hugs,
Janet

Christmas Tea Cup Pin Cushions

Hi Everyone,

Hope all of you are ready for Thanksgiving.  I have all the stuff I need and will start my preparations tomorrow by baking my pies.  I am making two pumpkin pies and a Kentucky Pecan pie.  then Thursday will be very busy with all the other cooking and roasting.

I have also been thinking about Christmas and I have just finished making two tea cup pin cushions that I will display for the holidays.  Below I am posting a video that I did about the pin cushions.  I hope you like it.  Please let me know what you think and I will also post some pictures.

Veterans Day

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to check in and let all of you what a great and memorable day I have had.  Today in church our pastor honor all the veterans.  We had two of our young marines bring the colors to the front and the Cardamon men sang our National Anthem with out music.  It was beautiful.  Then they showed a slide show of the different branches of the services and when the song for each branch was played those who have served or are serving stood while the song played.  It brought memories of those in my family who have served and are now gone to be with the Lord.  My Dad proudly served in the army during WW11  I have two uncles that served in the army during the Korean War.  One brother who served in the navy during Vietnam and one who served during peace time.  My husband's uncle Tim served in the marines during WW11 and was one of the few survivors from Iwo Jima.  And I am proud to say that I served in the USAF during peace time.

Our pastor then gave a beautiful message from the word of God, II Timothy 2:1-4 about being soldiers in God's army.  It was just a great morning and one I will remember for a very long time.

I hope all of you have had a great day today.

God bless all of you,

Hugs,
Janet
