It's Been Awhile

Hi Everyone,  Yes it has been awhile.  Since I have gone back to work my schedule is quite busy.  I am off for Thanksgiving till monday of next week.  I was baking pies and I decided to try a recipe that came to my mind, so it is in the oven and I thought I am going to write on my blog and let everyone know my new recipe.  If you like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies this pie is right what you want.  I call it Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Pie.  See the recipe here on my blog under Bi-Weekly recipes.

I am sorry that I have not been able to blog lately.  Right now I work 40 hours a week and I am doing some schooling to get my CDA which take time for studying, writing and preparing lesson plans.

I pray and hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving.  May God bless all of you.  Hopefully I can blog more.

Love to all of you,
Janet

Praise the Lord

Hi Everyone,

It is good to know that when others fail you the Lord doesn't.  He will always stand beside you.  He will never leave you nor forsake you.  He is my rock and fortress.

Scripture Reading:  Charity
"Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.  For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

What a Great Day!

Hi Everyone,

What a great day I have had.  My tow guys and I got up and after a quick breakfast we were off.  Went down through Greensburg and took Route 30 and went to Dellalos.  We love going there.  Jim wanted some olives and of course you can not leave there without some different kinds of cheeses and some fruit.  WE took a cooler with us to keep everything in.  Back on to Route 30 and by then it was lunch time so we stopped at Bob Evans and had a great meal.  We finally made it to the mall, Monroeville Mall.  Jimmy had to exhange a lens for his camera and went to J.C.Penneys.  The were having a sale and I got two Alfred Dunner tops on SALE and a new wallet on SALE.  I try to only buy on sale, saves alot of money.  We came home, rested a while and then we were of to church.  What a great church service.  Thank You Jesus for the great message you had Pastor Skelly preach.  I am so blessed.

Scripture Reading:  Charity
"Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.  The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth:  and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies."
                                                                         Psalm 41:1-2

Busy Tuesday

Hi Everyone,

Today has been a busy day and I haven't even made it to my craft room yet.  My work started in the kitchen, made three meat loaves, two kinds of mac and cheese and a salad.  Two of the meat loaves I put in the freezer, we had one for dinner.  I will post the recipe for the one mac and cheese, it was good.

Jim went to the doctors today.  He has syatica, (I think the spelling is wrong).  In other words he hurt his back and leg muscle.  the doctor said it should be good in about two week.  She gave him a prescription.  It is hard when he is not feeling well because he is not able to be active and Jim is a go getter, especially during the summer.  He likes being outside (when it is not to hot).   Please keep him in your prayers.

I will be posting another scripture reading hopefully tomorrow.  And I will post the mac and cheese recipe in the recipe section of my blog.

Bye

Super Sunday

Hi Everyone,

It was so great to be back in my home church.  Seeing everyone, hearing a great message and the singing was great too!  The Cardamon men sang the special, acappella.  They always do and they do a great job.
The message was about Stephen.  What an impact he had on the church.  The title of the message was "The Spirit of Stephen", something we should all strive to have.  Stephen was fair, a man of faith, and full of wisdom.  I really need to strive to have the wisdom of Stephen.  He was truly committed to Christ, he was courageous to the end.    Think about the impact his last words had on Saul (who later became Paul).  "...Lord, lay not this sin to their charge." Acts 7:60b  Remember those who stoned Stephen laid their garments at the feet of Saul.  In chapter 9 we see the conversion of Saul (Paul).  Can you imagine the joyous reunion the two of them had when Paul arrived in heaven.  How wonderful.  Isn't God good.

Again this morning in church was swesome.  I can't wait for tonight.  We have a missionary speaker.

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 27:13-14
"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."

There's No Place LIke Home

Hi Everyone,

There is no place like home.  Arrived home from California at 1:00 am this morning.  After sleeping till 10:00 am I got up and made brunch for the two most wonderful men in the world.  My husband and son.  I am so blessed to have these two guys in my life.   God is so good to me.

I have completely unpacked, checked my e-mail, and also fixed supper for Jim and I.  Jimmy is out with friends bike riding.  I have not made it to my craft room to do any crafting, that may have to wait till monday.  I still have to upload my pictures from California.  Once they are uploaded to my computer I will be putting some here on my blog.

The weather is nice, alittle hot, but better then being chilly alot.

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 27 11-12
"Teach me thy ways, O Lord, and lead in a plain path, because of mine enemies.  Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty."

Yesterday Tiffany, Abby and I went to the beach.  The water was freezing.  When I sat on the towel I had a sweater on, buttoned up and a towel over my legs and feet.  Otherwise it was a great day.

Hi Everyone,

I am here in California enjoying my time with my daughter Tiffany and her family.  It is quite breezy here.  We went and got strawberries today.  You have not had a real strawberry until you have had it fresh picked and they are huge.  It is like tasting strawberry flavored sugar.

So here we are the reunion is today and tomorrow we leave for Ohio and then California on Monday.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 27:9-10
"Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger; thou has been my help; leave me not; neither for sake me, O God of my salvation.  When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."

Hi Everyone,

We are counting down.  Tomorrow Tiffany and her family are coming for the week.  We are so excited about their visit.  It has been eight months since I saw them and a year since Jim and Jimmy saw Tiffany and Kristy.  However it has been almost two years since they saw Abby and even more since they saw Keith.  As I said in my las post we have a very busy schedule this week.  But a good busy.

Fabulous Friday

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a great friday.  Today after dinner my son Jimmy and I went walking around, your not going to believe this, the cementary.  We have three in Vandergrift and he and I walked around two of them.  It is a good hike, some small hills, mostly flat.  We checked on some of the family grave sites.  And we looked at some of the old tombstones.  Some of them were actually hand carved back in the very early 1900's.

Last night Jim and I walked out at North Moreland Lake, it was really nice.  The walk was pleasant.  To walk around the lake is 1.4 miles.  It is just good to get out and walk, although I don't like to walk by myself.

We are getting ready for our daughter Tiffany and her family to come in.  They will arrive from Ohio on Sunday afternoon.  We are really looking forward to her visit.  We miss them being so far away in Califronia.  We have a full week planned.  Monday is the 4th of July picnic, tuesday Jimmy is taking their family photos in the morning.  Tiffany and me are shopping in the afternoon.  Wednesday we are going to the zoo, thursday is the museum and friday rest before Tiffany and her family go to my Mom's for the night before the family reunion.  Saturday the 9th is the annual Keys family reunion, Sunday, we will be going to church in the morning, then packing and heading back to Ohio.  Monday the 11th we are flying out to California.  I will be there for 3 weeks.  Jimmy is flying out for the last week I am there and then he and I will fly back on July 29th.  So July is going to be a busy month.

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 27:3-4
"Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.  One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple."

Beautiful, Sunny Thursday

Hi Everyone,

Today is gorgeous.  It is sunny, with a gentle breeze, and just warm enough.  Jim and I was sitting out on our front porch just enjoying each others company, our porch and the quietness of the neighborhood.  Yes there are things to do and they will get done.  Jim just hung my altered cutting board in my kitchen.  It looks so cute and matches my kitchen.

Next week I will be sending out the pages from the swap I just hosted.  The ladies who participated are very talented and creative.  Their pages are beautiful and very tropical.  That was the theme.  I will do a video after I send out the pages.  This has been a great experience not only hosting the swap but participating in the swap.  If you would like to be part of the swap go to Life on the {Scrap} Beach and join, you can then participate in the swaps.  You will meet people from all over the world.  I have friends in Ireland, England, New Zealand, as well as all over the US.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 27:1-2
"The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom shall I fear?  the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell."

Crafting Tuesday

Hi Everyone,

It has been such a beautiful day.  The sun is shining, the breexe is slightly blowing, the flowers are blooming.  Praise the Lord!  I have been doing some crafting today.  I altered a flower tin and it is now my stick pin container.  I call it "Vintage Rose Pin Cushion Container."

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 25: 21-22
"Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.  Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles."

Experimenting on Monday

Hi Everyone,

Today has been so beautiful.  I have done some crafting and experimenting with baking.  One of the crafts that I am working on is an altered cutting board.  I am doing it sort of vintage style and one of the things I wanted to added to it is a recipe.  One of the recipes that reminds me of my childhood.  I called my Mom to ask her about it and she could not find the recipe, so her and I discussed it.  So I told her I would give it a try.  It was my Mothers Mayo Chocolate Cake, made from scratch.   The mayo takes the place of the butter or shortening and the eggs.  Way back when I was a kid the mothers had to use what they had and that was one of the results.  My husband says the cake is good, it has the consistency of a brownie.  I frosted it with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.  I will add the recipe to my recipe section of this blog.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 25:19-20
"Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.  O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee."

Warm and sunny Monday

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has taken me so long to post here on my blog.

Yesterday my adopted granddaughter left for her homeland.  She has been here in the US for almost a year.  My daughter has for several year hosted foreign exchange students and I have meet a few of them   Ngan is one of them.  When I visited in October last year I really got to know her and I adopted (not literally) as my granddaughter.  She is a very sweet young lady.  She will be arriving in her homeland of Vietnam tomorrow.  she has not seen her parents and brother since August of last year.  I was able to talk with her on saturday and it was a very tearful good-bye.  My dughter told me that yesterday was very hard on everyone bcause so many people grew to love Ngan and she them.  My two granddaughters Kristy and Abby really cried, they will miss her, she was like their big sister.   The good news is she will be back in the fall for college.  She was accepted to a college here in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia.  So hopefully we will get to see her.  My daughter is hoping to fly her to California for Christmas.  Maybe she can spend some time with us before she goes out there for the holidays.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 25:17-18
"The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.  Look upon mine afflication and my pain; and forgive all my sins."

Well have a great day!  I have also posted a picture of my latest altered canvas.

Pleasant Wednesday

Hi Everyone,

I am having a very wonderful and pleasant wednesday.  Jim and I had to go to Indiana, Pa for a doctor's appointment and decided to have lunch at Eat N Park up there.  It was so nice.  We often do these day dates and they are wonderful.  We don't do them often because we like to spend time with family, they are very important to us.

In a couple of weeks our daughter and her family will be in for a week and then when they go back to California I will be going back with them for three weeks.  Sometime soon when I go out I would really love to see Jim go with me.  He doesn't see the grandchildren as much as I because he doesn't go.

Scripture Reading for today:  Psalm 25:15-16
"Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.  Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolute and afflicted."

Pleasant Monday

Hi Everyone,

What a pleasant day today has been.  The weather is just right, not hot and not too cold, just right.  I have been working on laundry and crafting today.  I have tried three times to do a video for YouTube and guess what I have to do it again because about a third of it has been cut off.  Oh well, it will all work out.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 25:13-14
"His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.  The secret of the Lord i with them that fear him: and he will shew them his covenant.'

Praise the Lord for His constant care of His children.

Sunday - Resurrection Day

Hi Everyone,

Church this morning was great.  The pastor's message was on proper counseling.  He used the scriture from II Samuel when Absalom was seeking counsel on taking over his father's kingdom and eliminating him.  Pastor Skelly really knows how to preach and make the scriptures clear.  We have several good pastor in our church and they are all gifted.  The Lord has truly blessed them and we are blessed to have them in our church.

July 4, 2011 it will be one year since we started at Harvest Baptist church and we are so glad we are going there.  It has been a long haul looking for a church that we are truly blessed in and received from the Lord his instructions.  The word of God is the most important thing about church, all othere things are secondary.  I love learning from the word of God.  Praise the Lord for Harvest Baptist church.

Two Beautiful Days

Hi Everyone,

I have had two beautiful days and I want to share them with you.  Yesterday my husband and I went to a very beautiful wedding of two people in our church.  This was a couple who are passed 60 years of age.  The bride was absolutely grogeous, as well as her attendants.  The groom was handsome and very attentive of his new bride.  God brought them together and now they will serve him together.

Today Jim, Jimmy and I had some friends over for a picnic.  What great fellowship.  This couple goes to ur church and they are ver sweet people.  I am glad that we are friends.  God is so good.

I was studying my Bible study book and came across this poem and thought I would share it with you.

The Divine Weaver

My life is but a weaving
Between the Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
 He worketh steadily.

Oftimes He weaveth sorrow
And I, infoolish pride,
Forget that He seeth the upper,
And I the under side.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

I hope this will encourage and inspire you.

Thursday: Ladies Bible Study Day

Hi Everyone,
Today was ladies Bible Study day and it was great.  I really enjoyed learning more about Abraham and Sarah.  Today we concentrated alot on intercessory prayer and hospitality.   I find that when I learned more about things like today I want to what I can to please the Lord.  He is so good to me and I have been truly blessed.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 25:11-12
"for thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.  What man is he that heareth the Lord?  him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose."

Today I also received that pages from the Vintage Sewing Room page swap that I participated in.  the pages I received from the other ladies in the swap are absolutely beautiful.  I will be doing a video of the pages so everyone can see them.  I belong to Life on the Scrap Beach and there are a bunch of really nice ladies that just want to share their ideas about scrapbooking and crafting.  If you are a crafter join in the fun.

Scripture Reading: Psalms 25:9-10
" the meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.  All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies."

God is so Good

Hi Everyone,  I want to say God is so good.  Today I went for a stress test and it went really well, Praise the Lord.  I give the Lord all the glory, He is always with me.  When I got home I took a nice long nap.  I am still a little tired but so thankful for the Lord and all He does for me and my family.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 25:7-8
"Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my trangressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.  Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He teach sinners in the way."

My advice:  Depend on the Lord completely.

My Position in Christ

Hi Everyone,

I just have this thought on my heart and I need to share it.  I am honor to be a woman of the Lord.  It is not a shame to be a woman, it is an honor.  There is no shame in being a wife and mother, to stay at home and take care of the home and family.  It is okay if a man and wife decide that the wife should work, but it is okay if a man and wife choose for the woman to stay at home.

Scripture Reading:  I Timothy 2:9-15  I call this portion of scripture "A Woman's Place"

"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel; with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair or gold, or pearls, r costly array.  But which becometh women professing godliness with good works.  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in trangression.  Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holliness with sobriety."

Women play a very important part in the plan of God.  I think of Ruth, a Moabite, an idol worshipper, who left her home land, went with her mother-in-law to the land of Israel.  Accepted God as her God, and was the great grandmother of King David and she is in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Then there is Rahab, another idol worshipper who is also in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.  These two woman and there are more, came to recognize the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as the one true and living God.

So when you hear the world tell you that you are not important as a woman, remember, that the Lord Himself considers you very important.  Don't let those who misinterrupt scripture discourage you.  I am so happy to be a woman, wife and the person the Lord would have me to be.

Beautiful Saturday

Hi Everyone,

Yes it has been a few days since I posted anything on my blog.  Today was absolutely beautiful.  I did some weeding in my one flower garden, Jimmy mowed the lawn and Jim cut the hedges.  This evening Jim and I sat out on the patio taking in the beautiful evening.  Tomorrow is the Lord's day and I know it will be a blessing to be in the Lord's house.

Scripture Reading: Psalms 25:5-6
"Lead me in thy truth, and teack me: for thou are the God of my salvation: on thee do I wait all the day.  Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy loveingkindness: for they have been ever of old."

Have a super sunday as you worship the Lord.

Rainy Days and Mondays and I'm Not Down

Hi Everyone,

Rainy days and mondays may get some people down but not me.  "I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me.  I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me."  That is enough to make me happy any day.  So when it rains, that is God taking care of His creation.

Saturday was a really nice day.  Mom came up on thursday and she and I went to the Ladies Tea at the church, it was a feista theme.  The food was good, the fellowship was great and the devotion was really super.  I was so glad that Mom was able to make it up for this festive day.  While she was here we had a chance to not only talk, but we played alot of up words. It was great.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 25:1-2
"Unto thee, O Lord, do I livt up my soul.  O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me."

A Day of Remembrance

Hi Everyone,
I hope all of you are having a great day.  Today for my family and I we remember someone very special in our lives, my Dad.  He was a great father and grandfather.  We miss him so very much.  I am so blessed to have such a great Dad.

What I remember about Dad:
His unconditional love...
His constant care...
His support of the family in all we did.

What I remember most is the day him and my Mom accepted Jesus as their Savior.  After Daddy prayed he stood up with a huge smile on his face and a sigh of relief.  After that it was not strange to see Daddy reading his Bible.  He loved the Lord so much and now he is with his Savior.  My Mom who is a Christian also misses Daddy and is still totally devoted to Daddy.  Praise the Lord for the parents he gave me, I love him so much.

Scripture Reading:  John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him shall not perish but have ever;asting life."

I hope all had a great weekend and Monday.  Yesterday I was out in the backyard and I took several pictures of our gardens.  So today I will be posted them here on my blog.  My husband, Jim has done alot of planting and last week he and I did some major weeding.  Of course the weeding is a never ending job.  But I love the flowers and other plants that we have in our yard.  some of the flowers have not bloomed yet, but when they do I will be posting those pictures also.  I can't wait till my lilies bloom, also my roses, daisies and Black-eyed Susans.  As everything begins to bloom I will have pictures to show.

Scripture Reading:  Genesis 1:11-13
"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.  And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.  and the evening and morning were the third day."

Song of the Day: In the Garden
"I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses; And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses.  And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own;  And the joy we share as we tarry there  None other has ever known."

Enjoy the scripture verses, the song and the pictures.

Remembering Mom

Tomorrow is the day that we remember what Mom has done and is doing for us.  As a mother I consider it an honor and privilege to be a Mom.  I praise the Lord that He chose me to be the mother of Tiffany and Jimmy and the grandmother (Nana) to Kristina and Abigail.  However the does not stop there in blessing me as a mother, He gave me a great son-in-law who takes very good care of my daughter and granddaughters.  Thank you Lord for be so good to me.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 127:3-5 ; II Timothy 1:5
"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:  they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."
"When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also."

Song of the Day:Faith of Our Mothers
"Faith of our mothers, living still
In cradle song and bedtime prayer,
In nursery lore and fireside love,
Thy presence still pervades the air:
Faith of our mothers, living faith,
We will be true to thee till death!

Faith of our mothers, loving faith,
Fount of our childhood's trust and grace,
O may thy consecration prove
Source of finer, nobler race:
Faith of our mothers, loving faith,
We will be true to thee till death!

Have a super great Mother's day everyone.  I will be spending mine with my Mom and family.  My thoughts will be with my daughter and her family in California.  I love you Tiffany, Kristina, Abigail, Keith and Ngan.

Thursday: Ladies Bible Study

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't put up a new post in a few days.  Today was the Ladies Thursday Bible STudy at church.  It is such a good study.  We are learning about Sarah and her walk with God.  Very good and I am learning alot of what I need to apply to my own life.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 24:9-10
"Lift up your heads, O ye gates, even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.  Who is the King of glory?  The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah."

Song of the Day
"We shall enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts, we shall enter His courts with praise, We shall say this is the day that the Lord has made,  WE will rejoice for He has made me glad.  He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will rejoice for he has made me glad."

Today I also started a new mini album.  It will be a vintage album and it will be made with Tattered Time paper.  It is beautiful vintage paper.  The album will be a 4 x 6.  I do have a few projects going so it might be a few days before I get the album done.  When I do, I will do a video.

The Blessing of Friends

Today has been a great day.  I am amazed how many people I have met on the internet who love the Lord Jesus Christ and know him as their Savior.  Jesus is in control, even the internet.  Thank you Jesus for leading me to people who love You.  Thank you for all the friends I have made, who I may not meet until we meet in heaven.  Lord Jesus I love you so very much, thank you for saving, because I could not save myself, you did it all.  Help me Lord Jesus to serve you.

Scripture Reading: Psalms 24:5-6
"He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.  This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah."

Royal Friday

Hi Everyone,  I'm sure many of you have watched the royal wedding.  I did on the computer.  It was beautiful.  I remember when Prince William's mother got married, she too was beautiful.  She would be so proud.  Kate too was beautiful.  What was most beautiful was the fact that Jesus Christ was praised.  After all He is the architect of marriage, He performed the very first marriage in the Garden of Eden and He was also present at the marriage of Cana.  The Lord looks very highly on marriage.

I think for the scripture reading today I will do a scripture on marriage:  Genesis2:21-24
"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof:  And the rib , which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  And Adam said, This now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  Therefor shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

The song of the day:  Blest be the Tie that Binds
"Blest be the tie that binds, Our hearts in Christian love!  The fellowship of kindred minds  Is llike to that above."

Everyone have a blessed day.

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?  or who shall stand in his holy place?  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart: who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully."

Song of the Day:  Amazing Grace
"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.  I once was lost but now I'm found was blind but now I see."

"he earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof: the world, and they that dwell therein.  For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods."

"Standing on the promises of Christ my King, Thru eternal ages let His praises ring!  Glory in the highest I will shout and sing- Standing on the promises of God.  Standing, standing, Standing inthe promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God."

Easter Monday

Hi All,

Hope all had a great Resurrection Day.  The church service was great as we remembered one of the greatest victories in the history of man kind, Victory of death, hell and the grave.  This was accomplished by the only one that could do it and that was the Lord Jesus Christ.  Praise the Lord!  I was also able to spend the day with my husband, son and his girlfriend, as well as my mom, and younger sister and her family.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 19:10 - 11
"More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward."

Song of the Day:  Victory In Jesus
I heard an old, old story how a Savior came from glory, How He gave is live on Calvary to save a wretch like me:  I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning, Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.  O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever!  He sought me and bought with His redeeming blood, He loved me ere I knew Him, all my love is due Him - He plunged me to victory beneath the cloeansing flood."

Saturday

Hi Everyone,
Spent the day cooking and cleaning.  Thinking about tomorrow.  Easter service at church.  Looking forward to it, this is a very special day.  a day when we remember what the Lord Jesus di for the world.

Scripture Reading:  John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."  I know that I have posted this verse before, but it is such a vital verse.  It says so much.  God gave everything when He sent His son to died on the cross of Calvary.  Jesus came to earth in the form of man to pay the price so that we might have eternal life.  It's not about the Easter bunny it ALL ABOUT JESUS.

Tomorrow is resurrection day.  Praise the Lord and thank you Jesus.  I love you.

It's Another Rainy Day, Praise the Lord

Hi There,  Yeh, I know you are thinking, Praise the Lord ofr another rainy day.  Yep, God is good and we need the rain to help the plants grow and it is always good to Praise the Lord.

Song of the Day:  He Leadeth Me
"He leadeth me! O blessed thought! O words with heavenly comfort fraught! Whatever I do, wherever I be , Still 'tis His hand that leadeth me! He leadeth me, He leadeth me, by His own hand He leadeth me; His faithful follower I would be, For by His hand He leadeth me."

Praise the Lord for His word and encouragement, guidance, counsel and comfort they give.  Thank You for the song writers who used the talent you gave them to write the uplifting and inspiring words.

Yesterday, I worked on a mini album for my adopted granddaughter for Easter.  She will be going back to Vietnam in June and I don't know when I will see her again.  The pictures I put in the mini are a couple from the Palm Garden at the Santa Barbara Zoo.  We had a good time that day.  It was the girls day out.  Tiffany, Kristina, Abby and Ngan spent the day enjoying the animals and plant life at the zoo and we toured downtown Santa Barbara.  (Even lost the car at one point) but we had fun.

i also worked on another page for the page swap I am involved in.  I am having so much fun.  When I am done with them I am going to do a video for YouTube.

Well got to run.  Have a blessed day in the Lord.

Fantastic Friday

Praise the Lord, He is so good.  God answers prayer.  I praise Him for walking with me everyday, lighting my path and being my high and strong tower of strength and guidance.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 92: 13 - 15
"Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our god.  They shall still bring forth fruit in old age: they shall be fat and flourishing:  To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him."

Song of the day:
"We will enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts we will enter His courts with praise.  We will say this is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice for He has made me glad.  He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will rejoice for He has made me glad."

Wonderful Wednesday

It is still rainy and chilly but God is good.  another day with the Lord what more could a person ask for.  Tonight is Bible study at church we are still studying I and II Thessalonians.  It is a great study.

Scripture Reading for the day:  Psalms 92:10 - 12

This reminds me of a song:  A Mighty Fortress
A mighty fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing: Our helper He amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing  for still our ancient foe  Doth seek to work us woe-His craft and pwer are great, And armed with cruel hate, On earth is not His equal.

God is our refuge, strength and fortress.  Depend on Him daily.

Have a blessed day.

Song of the Day

I forgot to put the song of the day in my tuesday post.  Here it is:

God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, He's so good to me.  He understands, He understands, He understands, He's so good to me.

This is so appropriate for me, especially today.  He has seen me through again.  He never fails me, He is my shield, bucker, high and strong tower, fortress, my hiding place, my Savior, Lord and King.  Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus my blessed redeemer, He's my rock...

If you have a song in your heart, sing it out or share it with me here on my blog.

God is so Good

Today I received a message on fb from a very dear friend to let me know she is praying for me.  I really appreciate her and her friendship.  She also gave me some scriptures of encouragement and I want to share them, so they will be the scripture reading for today.

Today's Scripture Reading:   Psalms 86: 2-7
"Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.  Be merciful unto me, O Lord; for I cry unto thee daily.  Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I llift up my soul.  For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive: and plenteous inmercy unto all them that call upon thee.  Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.  In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou will answer me."

These are very encouraging words from the Word of God and I hope and pray that all who read them will be encouraged like I am.

Marvelous Monday

What a great start to another week that the Lord has blessed me with.  How great is our God.  It is pleasantly warm although it may rain this afternoon, but that is ok because God is in control and he knows what is best.  I made some special pancakes for breakfast.  The recipe will be in my recipe section on the left of the page.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 92:7 - 9

"When the wicked spring as the grass, and whem all the workers of iniquity do flourish: it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:  But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.  For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered."

This reminds me of a song:

VICKTORY IN JESUS

I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me; I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning, Then I repented of my sins and won the victory,
O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever! He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood, He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him-He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood."

Have a blessed day!

The Saturday Post

Hi There,

Just wanted to say that my blog has a new look and I love it.  My wonderful son redesigned it for me and has done a great job.  He is very artistic.  Thank you Jimmy.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 92: 4 - 6

"For thou, Lord,  hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.  O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.  A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this."

This reminds me a a song.  "O Lord my God, when I in awesome wondering, consider all the worlds thy hands have made.  I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed.  Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee, How Great Thou art, How great thou art, Then sings my soul my Saviour God to thee, How great Thou art, How great Thou art."

I hope the scripture and the song has inspired you.  God's Word and the old time hymns always inspire me.

Fridays and Friends

Today has been a pretty good day.  I had Bible study this morning, we learned about the Pearl of a Happy Home.  Excellent!  This afternoon a friend came over, had lunch and talked about Pre-School.  It was alot of fun.  We laughed and got excited about different ideas that can be used in preschool.  It was good.

Scripture Reading:  Psalms 92:1-3

"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:  To shew forth thy lovingkindness every night.  Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upou the harp with a solemn sound."

Here is a hymn I remember singing many, many years ago.  "Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below,  Praise HIm above ye heavenly hosts, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  Amen.

Sing the oldtime hymns they are so very spiritually uplifting.

Revival at Church

Yesterday our spring revival started at church.  What a refreshing way to begin spring, hearing God's word taught and preached.  The fellowship and music are also sweet.  This reminds me of a verse that I want to share:

Hebrews 10:25   "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

The fellowship, learning and the hearing of God's Word is so vital to one's life.

Continued scripture:
Psalms 91:11-12   "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."

Busy Shopping and Craftomg Day

Today has been a busy shopping and crafting day.  I went to JoAnn's, I needed lace to finish a mini I am working on.  They had a real good sale going.  They had some K and Company 12 x 12 paper stacks (reg. 19.99) and I got 2 of them (Citrus Bliss and Painted Garden) for 7.99 each.  How exciting.  When I got home I worked on the mini and this evening I finished putting it together.  All I have to do is type and added the scripture verses.  I can't wait to give it to my Bible Study teacher.

Well here is another portion of the scripture:
Psalms 91:10-11
"There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague cone nigh thy dwelling.  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

Let me know what you are doing and how the Lord has blessed you.

Celebrating a Journey

Yesterday many family and friends got together to celebrate a very special lady's 90th birthday.  I have known this woman since I was about 6 years old, more than 50 years.  She is an inspiring woman.  Her and my wonderful mother have been friends for more than 50 years.  As I was growing up  I remember she always had kinds words to say, a warm smile and a heart big enough to love everyone she knows.  My life is truly richer and fuller because I know her.  Happ Birthday Vera!

I completed the birthday album that I did for her and everyone that saw it loved it.  Her family is very pleased with how I did it and that is what makes me happy.  My goal was fill it with memories in a pleasing way that they will enjoy for years to come.  I love creating things and when they please others that makes me happy.  Thank you Jesus for this talent you gave me, because I can not do it myself, I need you dear Lord daily and I love you Lord.

Ladies Conference: A Day of Inspiration, Enlightenment, Encouragement

Hi Everyone,  What I day I have had.  The conference was not long enough, the speaker was great, the fellowship was wonderful.  The theme for the conference was "The Making of a Puzzle"  Here are some highlights from the conference.

We learned that our life is like a puzzle.  All have puzzles have different colors in them, light and dark alike.  Each are needed to make the picture of the puzzle.  God Himself is the one whos is putting the different pieces of the puzzle together, He know what the puzzle will be like when it is completed.  He is sovereign and in control and knows what is best.

It was a great conference and I look forward to next years conference, Lord willing.

Please see my scripture section for some inspiring scripture from today.

The past few days I have been really busy.  I am still working on the 90th Birthday album and really having a good time doing it.  I will be putting some more pictures up in the next day or so of someof the layouts for the album.

Tomorrow is the ladies Bible study.   I  can't wait, I love it.   The ladies are great and the fellowship is wonderful.    Saturday is the women's conference.  I looking forward to that also.

Day of Creating

Today I spent most of my time in my craft room.  I did manage to get a video up on line.  I am going to try and do another one for tomorrow also and shopping.  I am still working on the 90th Birthday album.  It is coming along quite nice.  There are alot of pictures for it, whether I get them all in it is another thing.  I will be putting up some more of the photos of the layout in another day or so.My son is going to upload some of the photos for me so that I can reduce their size for some of the pages.  He is a big help to me with the photos and videos that I do.

A Day of Memories

Hi Everyone,  This has been a wonderful day.  My son took me to visit with some friends and family.  I am doing a scrapbook of a family friend who is turning 90 years old.  Her daughters are planning a surprise birthday party and they want me to do a scrapbook of her life.  What a big challenge!  We got together today and looked through some old pictures and many of the memories I remember.  There was lots of laughs and a few tears.  I look forward to the party.  The girls are planning a wonderful party.  Since this young lady will be 90 many family and friends have already gone, but they will not be forgotten a this time.  Each table at the party will have a photo of someone who has gone.  My Dad will be one of them.  How I miss my Dad he was a great guy and he truly loved his Lord and Savior Jesus.

Great Time at Ladies Bible Study

Hi EVeryone,  What a great time at ladies Bible study today.  I am learning alot from not only the book of Proverbs but from other selections in scripture.  Everyone is so sweet and we all enjoy sharing God's Word with each other.  Today's lesson was abut honesty and integrity.  It has made me sit back and think about my life and if I am honest and show the integrity that God would have me do.  We have to remember others are looking at us.  I have to ask myself do they see a person that is honest and shows integrity.

I would like to share a poem that was in our lesson book for today:

I want a principle within Of watchful, godly fear,
A sensibility of sin, a pain to feel it near.
Help me the first approach to feel Of pride or wrong desire,
To catch the wandring of my will And quench the kindling fire.
Almighty God of truth and love, To me Thy pow'r impart;
The burden from my sould remove, The hardness from my heart.
O may the least omission pain My reawakened sould,
And drive me to that grace again Which makes the
wounded whole.

This was written by Charles Wesley.

Boy does that hit home, PRAISE THE LORD.

This is an excellence study.  If you are interested in doing this study the book is called "Pearls from Proverbs" by Valerie Wilson.  It is published by RBP (Regular Baptist Press)

Got to run.  Have a great weekend.

Rainy Day

Hi Everyone,  According to the weather man it is to rain most of the day.  So I will just stay in, do my chores and then create in my craft room.  Here is an encouraging word, especially for this rainy day:  Philippians 4:4
"Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say rejoice."  No matter what the weather is we can rejoice because the Lord is in control (Praise the Lord).

Yesterday I was working on my next altered canvas and I came to a block.  So I have taken a few days off from that project and I have others that I will be working on.  One is a pearl shape album that will highlight scriptures from the Pearls from Proverbs Bible study I am attending on Fridays.  I am also thinking of doing another large tag that will be called Friendship. I have been looking up poems on friendhsip as well as some scriptures.   I am still working on the 90th Birthday album.  It must be complete by March 12th (that is the big day).  So I have alot in my craft room to keep me busy.  What are you working on today?

Sunshine on the snow!

Today I woke up to the sun shining brightly on the snow that had fallen yesterday and last night.  Yes, we sometimes get tired of the snow but remember that it is only the prelude to spring.  Without the life giving water that the earth receives from the winter snow the plants would struggle for lack of sufficient water needed for them to grow.  In just a few short weeks the Lord will be awaking the earth from its long winters sleep, and the earth by the providence of God will bring forth and bud once again.  We must keep in mind that the Lord is the one in charge and he keeps his word.  Below is a protion of scripture that reminds me of who is in charge, the Lord Jesus Christ.

 Isaiah 55:8-11
"For my thought are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  For as the rain cometh down, and the SNOW from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater.  so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

I have some chores I want to do around the house and then it is off to my crafting room for some relaxing fun creating.  I am almost done with my summer flower album.  It is called "Beautiful Sunshine Day."   Most of the album is done with a kit I got from Paperworks with some others embellishments added my stock.  The color scheme is mosting yellows, greens and blues, with a hint of orange.  But I thought I would add some other colors when I attach the ribbons on the binding rings.  I am hoping to do a video sometime this week.

Another project that I will be starting soon is another altered canvas.  It will be more vintage.  When I am done with it I will also do a video about it as well.

Snow, snow and more snow!

That is right it is snowing again.  We have probably 2 inches right now and we are to get 4 - 8 inches when it is all said and done.  I got alot of housework done today.  This afternoon I have been working on a mini cardstock album.  When I am done I will put it up on YouTube.  It is a summer album that I am going to use for the pictures I will take of my flowers this summer.  The Lord is so good, he really makes the garden flourish.  I give him all the glory, he is the one that makes it grow.

Check out the pictures I just posted on my blog.  The are of the Altered Wedding Canvases that I did and the two mini Toilet Tissue Albums I did.  I am so thankful that the Lord allows me to create works of art.  i couldn't do it without him.  Thank You Jesus!

What an Inspiring Day!

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."  Hebrews 10:25.

Today I enjoyed church so much.  Each service was inspiring and I always learn alot.  I am thankful for my church family.  This evening at church we had a guest speaker.  what a remarkable man.

Did some crafting this afternoon after dinner.  Work on a tag and began a mini album that I plan o putting some photos in this summer of the flowers that grow in our gardens.  The Lord always blesses our gardens.  This summer since I am not working any more I can help with some of the garden chores.

What a Day!

My day has been full.  Great Bible study this morning.  We learned about the pearl of humility from proverbs, how eye opening.  Had lunch with a new great friend.  The fewlloship was woderful.  The late afternoon we went to the funeral home.  Our Aunt Mary passed away the other day.  Tomorrow is the funeral.  We then came home and had supper (pizza), Jim's brother Sonny joined us.  Just relaxing now.

Sharing the Word of God

I would like to share the word of God in my blog.  I have started with the book of Psalms.  Psalms is one of my favorite books.
Psalms 1
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he mediate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth froth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  The ungodly are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.  Therefore the ungodly shall jot stand in the judgment, not sinners in the congregation of the righteous.  For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Today is ladies Bible study day and I am looking forward to it.  It is a great time fellowship and learning together more from God's word.  A friend and I are going to lunch afterwards and I am looking forward to that too.

This afternoon my family and I will be going to the funeral home.  My husbands last aunt has passed away.  Jim and I no longer have any aunts or uncles.  How sad.

I will try to get some crafting in later, we will see.

My Roses

As you can see I have added a picture of the roses my husband gave me for our 25th wedding anniversary.  This will be the background for the title of my blog.  Eventually my son and I will be working on a different background for the title.  Hope you enjoy the roses.

Today I am doing my chores around the house and then I will eventually get around to my craft roon and do some crafting.  But first I would like to share a scripture with you.  Yesterday was Valentine's Day, a day when we proclaim our love.  I would like to share with you a scripture about love, because we should show our love everyday.  I John 3:18,  "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth."  Saying we love someone is wonderful, but show them how much we honestly love them is really what matters.  (Remember tell them how much you love them and show them how much you love them.)

Today I will probably continue to work on some 12 x 12 layouts, as well as an altered craft I started.

Happy Valentine's Day

When I came downstairs this morning waiting for me was a beautiful Valentine card and a box of chocolates.  My husband is so thoughtful.  He knows I am trying towatch my sugar intake so he bought me sugarfree chocolates, which are just as good as the regular stuff.  Then my son took me to Wal-mart I had to pick up a few things.  He to is good to me.

When we got home from Wal-mart I on my two toilet tissue roll  albums they are almost done.  I have to add pics to them and then I will be doing a video on them.  They are turning out so cute.  I am also working on my verison of altered canvas project.  That too is almost done and I will do a video on that.

The end of a good day!

I am late getting this posted, However it has beena good day.  I spent the whole day at home and was with the guys in my life, my wonderful husband Jim and great son Jimmy.  I tried a recipe I have been thinking about, it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted, but with a little adjustments I still made a dish that both of the guys liked and I liked it too.  As soon as I get it written down I will post it.  I also worked on some page layouts that I am doing for a 12 x 12 album.  They look pretty good.  I will eventually post them as well.  I plan on doing another video this week.

Got to run, it is bedtime for me.

Pearls from Proverbs

Hi everyone.  I went to Bible study today, it was awesome.  I so enjoy hearing about God's word.  We learned about trusting the Lord with all of our life.  Our teacher really brings it down to earth.

I didn't do much crafting today.  After I was home awhile and did some chores I really started to feel sick, so I took a nap.  I am feeling better.  Tomorrow I plan on trying a recipe that I been thinking about.  I will let you know and if it turns out good I will post it under my recipe section.  Look for a new video probably on monday.

Snow

Today I woke up to about 2 inches of snow, but it is warm and snug in the house. Jim just his first snow blower.  I am really thankful for it because I know it is alot of work for him and Jimmy.

I have to tell about the Bible study that I go to on Fridays now.  It is really great.  We are studying the book of Proverbs.  Proverbs is one of my favorite books in the Bible.  It is so full of wisdom (it was written by Soldomon who asked the Lord for wisdom).  The study is called the Pearls from Proverbs.

Happy crafting.

The Art of Embroidery

When I was around 12 years old my mother taught me how to embroidery.  I still embroidery today.  To me it is art that is done with a needle and thread.  I believe that this is a skill that all young girls should learn.  There is so much that you can do and make with this art.  Not just pillowcases, but tablecloths, doilies, t-shirts, totes, art for the wall, anything.  I encourage all of you to give it a try.  The stitch that I used is the back stitch, however there are many more stitches that you can use.  If you embroider let me know what you have done.

Pearls in Proverbs

This morning was Ladies Bible study.  We are studying the book of Proverbs.  I know that I will really enjoy this study because I love the book of Proverbs.  There are so many verses that really speak to me.  The teacher is sweet and so are the other ladies that attend.

Here is a poem from today's study:
Jesus Christ is made to me, All I need, all I need,
He alone is all my plea, He is all I need.
     Wisdom, righteousness and power, Holiness this very hour;
My redemption full and free, He is all I need.

Enjoy the poem and enjoy the day.

An Evening for Love

This evening I spent with the Valentine of my life, my wonderful husband Jim.  Our church hosts a Valentine Banquet every year.  It was a splendid evening.  The food was great, the fellowship was sweet, the music was soft and gentle and most of all the Word of God was inspiring and encouraging.

How are you spending your Valentine holiday?  Are you doing any inspiring crafts that tell the story of love?  Let me know.

Michael's and the Mall

We just got home from shopping at Michael's and the Mall.  I always have a good time with my two guys.  They are both very good to me.  The Lord has truly blessed me.  I was able to take advantage of some of the sales at Michael's while Jim and Jimmy went to the Christian bookstore and the 1/2 pric book store.

I was able to get lots of paper, stamps, flowers, glitter glue (stickles) and brads.  I also picked up a new scrapbook magazine at Barnes and Nobles.

Jim, Jimmy and I will be leaving for church in about an hour and a half, so I better go for now.

Shopping

Today my husband took me to Jo-Ann Fabrics to spend one of my birthday presents.  I was able to get quite a bit and still have money left on my card.  Most of what I got was on sale,   This is what I got on sale:  8 x 8 glitter pack, 3 packs of colored bling, a box of each (red, white and pastel green rose petals),  a spool of ruffled lace, 2 clear stamps and a clear block for my stickers.    I also got 3 packs of feathers and a box of adhesive squares.  It wasn't a big haul, but I think I made out pretty good.  It was so nice to go shopping especially with my hubby, he is so good to me.

Please share with me your latest shopping finds.

This afternoon I have been working on my little girl dress mini album.  It is turning out so cute, I love it.  Hopefully soon I will be doing a video about it.  I would like toget it on youtube.  I will need my wonderful son to help me with that.

I look forward to hearing about your creative projects.

A Day of Rest

Today started out with our special time at church.  It was truly wonderful.  The message was powerful and the music was great.  The choir did their special with no musical instrument, how moving.  The special was done by the men's quartet and they also did their special with no musical instruments.
Since this is sunday I will not be scrapbooking, but I will be doing my embroidery craft this evening.  I am working on special pillowcases for my granddaughters for Christmas.  (Yes I know it is only January, but I wanted an early start.)  When they are completed I will take a picture of them and show you how they turned out.
Tomorrow after I get back from the doctors, do my housework I plan on working on a mini album that I am doing.  It is a dress shaped album that I am  calling "Pretty in Pink."   I will hopefully do a video about that one.
Well let me know what you are doing.
