A Blessed Easter Day

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to tell you that I have had a blessed Easter (Resurrection Sunday) day.  It started off with church this morning.  What a great message Pastor Skelly had, very uplifting and inspiring.  The afternoon was spent  with our son Jimmy and his wife Brittany.  For dinner we had ham, potato salad, pickled beets and eggs, baked beans and colored deviled eggs.  After we share this meal together we watched The Robe.  Such a good movie.  Then this evening it was off to church for the evening service where Pastor Bergman, a missionary in Cleveland to the Jewish people demonstrated the Seder meal.  How inspiring it was as he showed how it reflected our Savior Jesus Christ.

I hope all of you had a blessed day today.  I look forward to what all of you will post this week.

Hugs,
Janet

It is almost Sunday

Hi Everyone,

As Saturday begins to close we look forward to tomorrow, VICTORY DAY or RESURRECTION SUNDAY.  What a great day as we remember the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful for everything the Lord Jesus has done for me, especially for my salvation.  I accepted Jesus as my Savior over 32 years ago, September 26, 1980.  I have witness what He can do in a persons life because of what He had done in my life. He has not only blessed me with His great salvation, but He has blessed me with a wonderful and dear husband, but two of the most wonderful and greatest children in the world, Tiffany and Jimmy.  And I will not forget the two beautiful and precious granddaughters, Kristy and Abby.  Of course my life would not be complete without two of the greatest (extra and special) children, my wonderful son-in-law Keith and my beautiful daughter-in-law Brittany. Life would not be complete without my Mom and my siblings.  My church family also blesses me each week as we worship, learn and fellowship together.

I hope all of you will have a very blessed and wonderful Resurrection Sunday.  God bless you all.

Love and Hugs,
Janet

Good Friday

Hi Everyone,

Today as we reflect and remember what happened today over 2000 years ago let's take to heart how much our Savior Jesus Christ loved us, that He chose to take our place on the cross.  He did this because He loved us so much.  Below are a few verses to reflect and mediate on.

John 3:16   "For God so loved the world that He gave is only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 19:16-18   "Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified.  And they took Jesus, and led him away.  And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha.  Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst."

John 19:30   "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, IT IS FINISHED; and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

This coming Sunday I will post some verses on the victory of Resurrection Sunday.  Have a super great weekend.

Hugs,
Janet

Snowy Monday

Hi Everyone,

I woke up this morning to about a 1/2 foot of snow.  It continued to snow most of the day.  But it was warm  and cozy inside.  They say by next week we should be starting to get warmer weather, we will see.  What ever comes God is good and our hearts will always be warm with His presences there.

Lately I have been working on some crafts for some swaps that I am involved in and I am having a great time.  I am a member of minialbumscrap.  It is a great place to meet people who like to craft and altered different kinds of items.  I will be posting more pictures some time this week of some mini birdhouses that I am altering.  They are cute.

Well I better close for now.  Have a good evening.

 Hugs,
Janet

Palm Sunday

Hi Everyone,

Happy Palm Sunday!  We heard a great message this morning about our Lord Jesus Christ.  We are entering  what some call holy week.  Today is the day remembered as Jesus entering into Jerusalem, where He would spend His last week on earth as a man.  Good Friday is only a few days away.  Calvary, where the Old Rugged Cross stood, where our Savior Jesus Christ, hung in my place and yours and He did it because He loves us so much.  That is why we call it Good Friday, because that is the day the Lord Jesus Christ went to the cross to pay for all of our sins.  I am so thankful that Jesus is my Savior and Lord and that he loved me so much that he took my punishment and paid for my sins.  Next Sunday we will be celebrating Resurrection Sunday, a day of victory.  We will be celebrating because the tomb is empty and Jesus is alive.  Praise the Lord, God is good.

So as you think about this week and the events that took place over 2000 years ago remember we have the victory, because Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave.

My prayer and hope for all of my family and friends who read this may your Easter week, Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday best blessed and filled with all the blessings God has for you.

Make every Sunday, Resurrection Sunday, and celebrate the victory.

God Bless You All and Hugs,
Janet

ATC Cards

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share with how excited I am.  I have started creating ATC cards and I am having a blast doing it.  They are so much fun to make.  I belong to a swap site call minialbumscrap and we do chunky atc cards.  These are atc cards that are over the top, they are not just flat.  We create them using 3-D embellishments.  I am going to upload so of the ones that I have made.  Yesterday I made three atc card purses that are shabby chic and I think they are adorable.  Today I made three more purses, but they have a tropical theme and they are also interactive, they open up and you can see what is inside.

Well I am going to close so that I can upload the picture please enjoy.  And let me know what you think.  I appreciate all of your comments and followers are very welcome.

Hugs,
Janet

Swapping

Hi Everyone,

Hi, sorry it has been a while since I last blogged with everyone.  I have been doing some swaps with a new site.  Today I just sent in two swaps.  One was for ATC cards and the other one was for altered silverware charms.  They were both fun to make.  I have never altered spoons before but I am having a great time doing it.  We had to make three charms using silverware and I chose spoons.  I will have to post the pictures.  Another thing I have done with spoons is alter them to go along with my tea cup pin cushions.  These spoons are actually tea spoon pin cushions and they are so cute.  As far as the ATC cards they are fun to do as well.  These little miniature works of art can be done away you want them.  The first swap I sent in a couple of weeks ago was ATC cards as well.  We had to do four that made a scene.  I called mine Life in the Country.  The ones I just sent in with the theme of Birds, Bees and Trees had flowers and bees charms and little birds I made using stickles, with birds nest and eggs.  The host of this swap wanted to don chunky charms which gives you a little more room for creativity.  Any way they are fun.  There are four more swaps coming up that I can't wait to do.

Well I better go for now and upload some pictures for all of you to see.  I hope they inspire you.  Also the swap is:

minialbumscrap.ning.com

if you would like to check it out.

Don't forget to check out the pictures.

Janet
